世界上共有多少个英联邦国家？
英联邦 (The Commonwealth) 是由英国和已经独立的前英国殖民地或附属国组成的联合体。第一次世界大战后，英国慑于日益高涨的殖民地民族解放运动，调整了同原英帝国其他成员之间的关系。1926年“英帝国会议”的帝国内部关系委员会提出，英国和已经由殖民地成为自治共和国的加拿大、澳大利亚、新西兰和南非是“自由结合的英联邦的成员”，“地位平等，在内政和外交的任何方面互不隶属，唯有依靠对英王的共同效忠精神统一在一起”。1931年，《威斯敏斯特法案》从法律上对此予以确认，英联邦正式形成。1947年，印度、巴基斯坦各自宣布独立并加入英联邦。1949年，印度成为共和国，选举了自己的国家元首。从此英联邦成员由需对英王效忠的原则演变为英联邦成员“接受英王为独立成员国自由联合体的象征”，英王是“英联邦的元首”。
英联邦不设权力机构，英国和各成员国互派高级专员代表大使级外交关系。
英联邦总部和常设机构均设在伦敦，其组织机构有：1、英联邦政府首脑会议；通常两年举行一次会议。1966年以前在伦敦举行，自1966年起轮流在成员国中举行，由东道国政府首脑主持。会议不通过决议，会议发表的总原则对与会国没有约束力。2、亚太地区英联邦政府首脑会议；从1978年起每两年举行一次，讨论共同关心的地区性问题。3、英联邦部长会议；包括每年举行的部长会议和不定期举行各类会议等。4、英联邦秘书处；1965年成立，负责成员国间的协商和交流。5、英联邦基金会；成立于1966年。此外，英联邦还有一些专业性组织，如英联邦议会协会、英联邦新闻联盟、英联邦广播协会、英联邦青年交流理事会、英联邦体育运动联合会和英联邦艺术协会等。现时大多数前英国领土和殖民地都留在英联邦，除了下列地区：
缅甸（1948年独立）
爱尔兰从英国独立以后，曾经是会员国。1949年建立爱尔兰共和国以后离开英联邦。
南也门（1967年独立）
香港在1997年7月1日回归中国，是20世纪最后一个脱离英联邦的地区。
津巴布韦在2002年时，被英国以该国执政者藐视RQ并在大选中舞弊为由暂停该国在协会内的会籍一年，导致津巴布韦政府愤而主动退出此组织。
2003年12月，第34届英联邦首脑会议在尼日利亚首都阿布贾举行。会议期间，津巴布韦正式宣布退出英联邦。会议决定2005年和2007年的英联邦首脑会议分别在马耳他和乌干达举行。2004年5月，英联邦决定恢复巴基斯坦已被中断4年多的成员国资格。

肯尼亚主要说什么语言？
肯尼亚的官方语言是斯瓦希里语和英语。其中斯瓦西里语是肯尼亚的国语，英国是由于肯尼亚是英国的殖民地而流行的。
斯瓦希里语属于班图语支，是非洲语言使用人数最多的语言之一（5500万多人），和阿拉伯语及豪萨语并列非洲三大语言。斯瓦希里语是肯尼亚、乌干达、坦桑尼亚的官方语言，在赞比亚、马拉维、布隆迪、卢旺达、索马里、莫桑比克等东非和中非的国家，斯瓦希里语被作为交际语言使用。
肯尼亚使用英语作为官方语言的原因是：1890年，英、德两国瓜分东非，肯尼亚被划归英国，英国政府于1895年宣布肯为其“东非保护地”，1920年改为殖民地。由此肯尼亚沦为英国殖民地。

1、人口方面：肯尼亚人口种族众多。全国共有42个民族，主要有基库尤族（17%）、卢希亚族（14%）、卡伦金族（13%）、卢奥族（10%）和康巴族（10%）等。此外，还有少数印巴人、阿拉伯人和欧洲人。
2、宗教方面：肯尼亚全国人口的45%信奉基督教新教，33%信奉天主教，10%信奉伊斯兰教，其余信奉原始宗教和印度教。

肯尼亚共和国（The Republic of Kenya）位于东非高原，横跨赤道，首都内罗毕，是人类发源地之一。
区域位置
肯尼亚面积582646平方公里，地跨赤道，东与索马里为邻，北与埃塞俄比亚、南苏丹共和国接壤，西与乌干达交界，南与坦桑尼亚相连。东南濒印度洋，海岸线长536公里。
地形地貌
沿海为平原地带，其余大部分为平均海拔1500米的高原。东非大裂谷东支纵切高原南北，将高地分成东、西两部分。大裂谷谷底在高原以下450－1000米，宽50－100公里，分布着深浅不等的湖泊，并屹立着许多火山。北部为沙漠和半沙漠地带，约占全国总面积的56%。
中部高地的肯尼亚山海拔5199米，最高峰、非洲第二高峰，峰顶终年积雪。瓦加加伊死火山海拔4321米。
