no后面既可以加单数，又可以加复数。因为no=not any，所以可以加复数。又因为no=not a，所以也可以加单数。

作副词时，no有下列两种用法：
(一)作为yes的反义词，用在回答问题的场合，表示“不”的意思。
例：No，I won’t go to the casino． 不，我不去赌场。
(二)用在比较级之前，表示“并不”之意。
