Think about it, dude developed one of the most impossible to defend shots during the 2nd half of his career. He was still athletic of course but not what he was in his early days. To think he wouldn't be able to develop a three point shot in this era is insane.

Man literally has more career games over 30 points than under 30. This is including the Wizards years.

On the Bulls Jordan has 2x (165 to 75) as many 40 point games as every other player in franchise history bined and 5x (30 to 6) as many 50 point games as everyone else bined (Steph, KD, and LeBron have 31 bined)

In his rookie year alone he had one less 40 point game than Jimmy Butler has in his entire career (7 for rookie MJ and 8 total for Jimmy).

On the Bulls he had 82 games total scoring less than 20 points (with a lot of those being minutes restrictions). He had 537 total over 30 and 393 below 30 (with 311 of those being 20-29 points). On any given night he wore a Bulls uniform, he was more likely to drop 30 than not. His average stat line on the Bulls was 31.5/6.3/5.4/2.5/0.9 a game.

Just to add some fucking absurd perspective to the scoring ability of Michael Jordan. The only reason he looks remotely mortal is because he came back to play on the Wizards for 142 games.

He did this over and over again. When he went up against Magic in the Finals he averaged over 10 assists per game (and 30 points) to shut everyone up who said he was just a scorer and Magic was a better all-around player.

When Barkley was being anointed as the best offensive player in the game because of his unguardable low-post game after the Olympics, Jordan averaged over 40 a game against him in the Finals.

And I don’t even have to talk about what he did to the Jazz after Karl Malone won the MVP award.
