audience的用法(audience 用法要点)

（1）表示听众，观众，作主语时，谓语可单可复

The audience is/are listening attentively.

观（听）众在认真听。

（2）形容观（听）众人数多（少），用 large、small、thin、crowded 修饰

There was a large audience of young people at the pop concert.

流行音乐会上有大量年轻人。

（3）有时可用复数形式

He addressed audiences all over the country.

他向全国观众作演讲。

（4）有时可表示读者

The book has a large audience.

这本书吸引了大量读者。
